Why does THC top out around ~30% in flower?
It’s a biological limit, not a legal one. THC is a secondary metabolite stored in trichomes with finite volume. Pushing THC higher often means fewer terpenes, weaker plant resilience, and poorer growth. Claims of “33%+ THC” usually come from selective sampling, very dry buds, lab variance (±2–3%), or marketing. Serious breeders consider 28–30% the real ceiling.

Thanks to the magic of #macro, I don't even know which of my balcony weeds* this is, and from which pot. But who cares, right?
After several months with a macro lens I already found one of my favourite subjects: plant 'hairs', apparently called #trichomes.

* technically they aren't weeds because I haven't intentionally planted anything in said pots, but it's shorter to type than 'wild-growing grasses I never sowed but they still keep growing every year'.

Day 41 update! So happy with the progress in the tents right now. The size and stacking on these plants are looking fantastic, and the structure is exactly what I was hoping for.

The frost is coming in heavy, and the aroma is getting close to that perfect profile I'm searching for—just needs a little more of that sharp, ammonia punch. A couple of the Miracle Whips got a bit overwatered, but they're bouncing back, and the rest of the canopy is filling out beautifully.

Overall, it's a great run, and the learning process never stops.
