My last 3 tomatoes have sat on the kitchen windowsill this last few days ripening up & they are ready to eat. Good sized ones too. They’re going in the fridge & that’s my homegrown tomatoes done for the year 🍅 ☹️. Time to think about winter veg, all the greens 🥬 usually for me, love them. #Garden #HomeGrown.

Going to spend the last daylight hours now prepping the soil for my potatoes and onions....grow bags and all in front of the house to the side, lots and lots of containers need their bone meal and blood meal and general slow release fertilizer.....my seed potatoes will arrive beginning of next week and my many onions are ready to go in as soon as the taters are planted!! #gardening #vegetables #homegrown #cooking

Red orach. Ancient vegetable entirely edible. Like spinach but salty. 4 to 6 feet tall! Deer love it so it'll be on my deck somewhere. As you harvest from it, it grows more. I'm really looking forward to this! Doesn't bolt in heat and reseeds itself plus stays this beautiful color. A+ addition. #gardening #homegrown #vegetables

Es macht wirklich einen großen Unterschied, ob man eine 3000k Zimmerpflanzenlampe nimmt, oder eine 6500k Anzuchtlampe. Nach einer Woche bekommen die Tomaten ( alles andere nach weniger als einer Woche) bereits ihre richtigen Blätter, das hat die letzten Jahre immer 4 Wochen gedauert.
