I cleaned this pipe for the first time yesterday. I was worried that the unglazed clay wouldn't come clean, but it did! Like I said before, it's porcelain fired to cone 10, and the specs say it should have 0% absorbency, which seems to be the case. I also rely on this for the handles I make for walking sticks (soon to be the subject of a how-to thread!) and they don't get grubby like the more absorbent clay I used at first.

Also, I made a couple more because the first one worked out so well. The grayish one was supposed to be green -- I used green mason stain mixed into the clay body -- but it's more like dark grey-green. I made the pink with red mason stain.
