AlisOne of the weird things I’ve noticed since living alone is that, uh . . . I actually kind of like cleaning? Specifically, cleaning the bathroom.
I never used to. Or, rather, I thought I didn’t. In retrospect, I think this was a combination of not really knowing how and the whole . . . Thing re. gender politics under heterosexual marriage. Which means that for most of my adult life I’ve had a cleaner. But when I moved out, I intentionally chose a small place that would be easy for me to look after by myself. And now, four months into the process, I can confidently say I do kinda enjoy Cleaning Day.
(Except for taking out bins. I still fucking hate taking out bins.)
And anyway, in the grand tradition of sharing experiences on the internet, I present to you the process that helped me learn to stop hating cleaning the fucking bathroom.
So take off your socks, put on some music, and let’s get this done.
