I had been thinking of what to do with the 2012 #MacPro that I crammed full of 64 GB of memory.

I found something in #FreeBSD #ports that I wanted to build, and my newer machines with 32 GB of memory each couldn't handle it. Somewhere within the giant dependency graph of over 350 ports, there are two versions of LLVM as well as all of Node and Rust. A #slow process would be one way to describe it, but that might be underselling it a bit.

I guess I'm #reducing #waste a little bit, maybe? I don't know. I don't know if what I'm building will even work or be useful. But hey, at least I get a little experience with #poudriere so I guess it can't be all bad?

“#Amazon has outlined plans to cut a further 16,000 #jobs across its corporate workforce, as the #tech group steps up efforts to reduce costs amid increased spending on #AI.

In a message to staff on Wednesday, senior executive #BethGaletti said the company was making “organisation changes”, including “#reducing layers . . . and #removing bureaucracy”.

The changes will affect about 16,000 jobs, and “most” #US based #employees would be given 90 days to look for a new role internally or offered severance pay, she added.”

I was #struggling with an #alcohol #addiction for about 10 years, after a few attempts with stopping and starting again i am now almost 11 years completely free from alcohol, since the beginning of february 2015.

I love being #sober and living a sober life, it's not always perfect or without problems but i can handle it all so much better and also #reducing risks of getting #cancer or other related #diseases is also a good thing.

In all those years i developed more self-love and because of that i see now better where my limitations are, before learning to get more self-love i was to hard for myself and i could not see clearly my limitations that i have also because of non-congenital brain injury i have in my teen years.
I have to get a lot of rest and that's sometimes hard when u want to go out in the world but i am very sensitive for sounds, busy crowds and that takes a lot of energy for me.
