Critical #UX skill: know when to stop talking and start showing.

Finally found a solution for an annoying bug in @thunderbird:

The Calendar in Mozilla #Thunderbird 140.6.0esr on Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
scrolls way too fast & erratic using a mouse. Both in the main calendar as well as the small calendar view in the sidebar. Touchpad is fine.

The solution: disable 'smooth scrolling' in Edit --> Settings (search for 'smooth scrolling')

#LiquidGlass is *nothing*. It's not even terrible enough to be remarkable. It is, however, confirmation that #Apple has no ideas for improving #UI / #UX and isn't truly interested in it. They've got nothing because that's not the business they're in any more.

UI / UX of adding image to Wordpress post is tragic. At least 4️⃣ clicks required to actually place an image!

One click to add a block. Second click to select *image block*. Another click to choose media library, and finally another click to choose an image! Four clicks for such basic and often-needed functionality. #wordpress #WP #ux #ui #design #fail

@YaLTeR This nonsense is almost certainly coming to #VSCode (Codium) which is when I’ll decide to dip out. My biggest fear is that #KDE will slowly change the current square theme into this Apple / #GNOME rounded idiocy with no choice on my part. “Just choose a square theme!” they’ll say, I CHOSE A SQUARE THEME ALREADY, YOU MADE IT ROUND IT WITHOUT ASKING
