It's Welsh Music Day (Dydd Miwsig Cymru)! So here's a track from my favourite Welsh musician, Toby Hay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSLlBT1yyJU

During "lockdown" we were lucky enough to be living in paradise with these hills and views on our back step (and no one really policing our hikes). It was then, with no crowds of tourists, that I became friends with three gorgeous Gypsy Cob #horses who roam on Moel y Gest. I was even able to get selfies with them. Here's the emo one.

Maybe if the #wru had ever sought to include the northern 2/3 of #wales in their plans for international #rugby we might give a toss

Wales could tax disused plots of land to encourage house building

A Welsh government minister said the plans are about "getting more houses built", not raising money.

Foreign money will be barred from influencing #UK elections under the Representation of the People Bill, introduced to Parliament today. The legislation tightens rules on political donations, requiring companies to prove a genuine UK link and sufficient revenue, alongside new “Know Your Donor” checks and stricter oversight of unincorporated associations. The Electoral Commission will gain stronger enforcement powers, including fines of up to £500,000.

The Bill also extends voting rights to 16- and 17-year-olds in all UK elections, bringing the system into line with #Scotland and #Wales. Ministers say the reforms will strengthen transparency, deter foreign interference and protect candidates and staff from intimidation. Pilot schemes in 2026 will test more flexible polling locations, such as supermarkets and train stations, to improve access.
