That was some good medicine for the #Magic. They get a triple-double from Jalen Suggs and their best defensive effort in a long time. Felt like Magic basketball. Now the hard part: Doing it again Saturday.

The #Magic defeat the #Nets 118-98. Largest win since the Sixers in Nov.

It was the Jalen Suggs show early in the third quarter and then a nice spurt when Suggs checked back in to end the quarter. The #Magic are on cruise control mostly against a #Nets team that really cannot shoot. Magic lead the Nets 88-67 after three quarters.
The #Magic built as much as a 21-point lead and have largely coasted through this game. They lead the #Nets 56-40 at the half. Long way to go and Orlando is not shooting well enough to bury them. Can't let off the pedal.
The #Magic played with really good energy even if the outside shots (3/12 from three) would not fall. Orlando sitll has to clean up some things like turnovers (5 in the quarter). But this is the intensity they need. Magic lead the #Nets 27-19 after one quarter.

A really solid start for the #Magic. Ball is moving with good energy and the defense has generally been good. Aside from a turnover, the Magic are getting what they want offensively. #Nets have started 3 for 9.

Denver now drops under the luxury tax threshold, with about $1.8M of room to spare. They also fall about $5M below the first cap apron.

Same pattern with James Harden.

He wanted out of Houston.
He wanted out of Brooklyn.
He wanted out of Philly.
Now the noise starts with the Clippers.
