Reddit's harassment filter
This feature was enabled long ago for r/freebsd. Filtering was recently increased from moderate, to high.
Its first catch since the increase is pictured below. This case would probably have been caught by the moderate filter.
Moderators see the abuse, the red alert.
Normal users of the subreddit see nothing. Smart.
(It's possible that u/reddit_original saw the comment by u/ArtSuspicious7027 because the offending comment was a reply to u/reddit_original. I'm not certain.)
A Wayback machine capture of the offender's profile, after manual confirmation of the removal: <https://web.archive.org/web/20260519151033/https://old.reddit.com/user/ArtSuspicious7027>.
The abuse that's removed from a subreddit e.g. <https://old.reddit.com/r/freebsd/comments/n8ugn4/why_isnt_sudo_preinstalled/omobmk6/> remains visible in an offender's profile. This can help the public to form an opinion of the person, even if the person attempts to obscure their comment history.
