I was messing around after the mesh grid shots didn't turn out the way I wanted — got too close this time, nearly touching the thing with the lens. The phone struggled to lock focus for a few seconds and when it finally did, I almost put it down. Then I looked at the screen properly.
Shot on my Xiaomi, hand held against a bright window. Snapseed — pulled the exposure down slightly and pushed structure up to bring the individual threads back. The yellow in the corners I left completely alone. That's just the light at the edge of the window frame bleeding in.

Ruth McMonagleI pulled the papers out of the next half made block. After pressing, I drew seam allowances (with a little helper) on the relevant pieces.
Spent the next few days machining sewing in the evenings. Another block completed! Yay!!!
