I love these big breeds, but I stick with #pugs precisely because the slobber level is contained to random small projectile slobber during breathing and sneezing.

Also, how old is your friend? I currently have just one #dog now, & they is getting older, & as such they likes to sleep late. I usually have to wake them up. I've found this with our other #dogs over the years:

When they're young, they wake you up; ≈≥ 7 years old, you wake *them* up.
