So in the span of a few hours, I:

- managed to make the Pager not produce any notification sounds at all, by attempting to change the annoying-a$$ default ringtone to something nicer & also with a less long nag time. Then I cobbled together a custom RTTTL tone, which it seems to be happy with.
- completely obliterated my channel config :) by sharing channels from the Deck to the Pager via QR code. DESPITE #meshtastic saying "all existing channels" would be "PRESERVED"

sooo this weekend I finally flashed #Meshtastic onto the #pager 🙌

HOT TIP, when they say "check that your cable isn't power-only", THERE'S A REASON THEY SAY THAT. if it doesn't work, check your cable.. swap it out.. try a different one... Ask me how I know 🙃

Anyway, once that was done, I was shocked to find that I was able to see 4-8 nodes online at any given point!

There's still SO much I don't know, but this is a fun little starter device IMHO.

Meshtastic in my area seems to be growing, which is neat. There's one or two Meshcore nodes around too.

There's occasional chatter, and right now most of it is about the mesh itself, but that's how these things start I suppose.
