In the 1960's and 1970's was in Boy Scouts for over a decade, starting as a Cub and ending up as a Springbok Scout.
Every time I went to an event I would to my mother's horror swap scarves with a scout from another troop.
At the end of my scouting career I ended up with 35 scarves which with a lot of help from my, wife and a quilting expert I turned into a quilt.

::sigh:: I've been working on making this quilt top for a WEEK now. It's 168 blocks, all combos of 2 sizes of HSTs. I'm so tired of trimming and pressing these block sub-units, then sewing, pressing, trimming some more. It's not even going to be a large quilt when I'm done with it!

In other news, I have 2 additional finished quilt tops waiting to be quilted, one of which is still pinned to the design wall. I'll need to buy backing fabric for that one, and make batting for both.
