It has been mild overall the past month, just short cool spells, weak upper troughs except for the one 10/06. Still, we are at 45N E of the Divide w some altitude. Thus -2C start of attempt get to 2920m Timberline Lk., on that trail 8K up. Start 2350m on steep N facing wall W-Fork Cyn. Up thru 2008 Cascade burn for 6K even in steep side gulch. Only 10-15cm powder where we turned back almost to the lake, feet got cold, -6C lite N breeze. Glad we still did it 👍🏽. #climate #hiking #dogs #montana
