L’Hantavirus ora fa un po’ meno paura. Dopo che il patogeno ha causato un’epidemia localizzata a bordo della nave da crociera Mv Hondius, proseguono i controlli medici sui passeggeri che, fortunatamente, stanno dando esito negativo.
A riferirlo è il Ministero della Salute, secondo cui gli accertamenti virologici eseguiti a Milano sul turista britannico rintracciato e posto in quarantena, perché si trovava a bordo del volo Sant’Elena-Johannesburg, hanno dato esito negativo. Lo stesso risultato è stato registrato anche per l’accompagnatore che viaggiava con lui in Italia.

Controlli negativi, questa volta effettuati dallo Spallanzani di Roma, anche per il giovane calabrese che si trova in isolamento fiduciario e per la turista ricoverata a Messina per una polmonite, proveniente da una zona endemica dell’Argentina.
Il Ministero, in linea con quanto dichiarato dall’Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità (Oms), ricorda che il rischio connesso al virus resta molto basso sia in Italia sia nel resto d’Europa.
Insomma, la vigilanza resta alta ma, fortunatamente, nelle ultime ore non sono state registrate né in Italia né in Europa nuove segnalazioni di contagio.

È Massimiliano Fedriga il Presidente di Regione più apprezzato secondo il sondaggio SWG per l’agenzia ANSA. Al 65% il governatore del Friuli Venezia Giulia, seguito da un altro Presidente della Lega, il governatore del Veneto Alberto Stefani. Tre dei primi cinque sono però governatori di Regioni meridionali.
Fedriga sale di un punto percentuale rispetto al 2025, ed è seguito dal governatore del Veneto Alberto Stefani al 58%. Il Presidente della Calabria Roberto Occhiuto apre le tre posizioni consecutive di governatori meridionali: 53% per il calabrese, in crescita rispetto al 2025, quarto Antonio Decaro in Puglia al 51% e quinto Roberto Fico in Campania al 47%.
Al sesto posto, a pari merito, il governatore dell’Emilia Romagna Michele De Pascale e la Presidente dell’Umbria Stefania Proietti, entrambi al 45%. Seguono Eugenio Giani (Toscana) al 42% (-5), Alberto Cirio (Piemonte) al 40% (-2), Marco Bucci (Liguria) e Francesco Acquaroli (Marche) al 37%, con il presidente marchigiano stabile rispetto allo scorso anno.
Più in fondo al listone Attilio Fontana (Lombardia) al 35%, senza variazioni, e Marco Marsilio (Abruzzo), Alessandra Todde (Sardegna) e Vito Bardi (Basilicata), tutti al 33%, ma con cali rispettivamente di 2, 4 e 6 punti. Chiudono la graduatoria Francesco Rocca (Lazio) al 29% (-2) e Renato Schifani (Sicilia) al 25%, stabile rispetto alla precedente rilevazione.

La paziente di Messina prosegue le cure
Prosegue le cure la paziente risultata negativa all'Hantavirus e ricoverata al Policlinico di Messina per una polmonite. Secondo quanto spiega la struttura ospedaliera, la donna di 49 anni, arrivata al Pronto soccorso dell'ospedale universitario il 10 maggio, proveniente da una zona endemica dell'Argentina - era stata immediatamente posta in biocontenimento già dal primo accesso nell'area di emergenza, per poi essere trasferita nel reparto malattie infettive dove ha proseguito le terapie sempre in isolamento.
La paziente ha riferito di non aver avuto alcun contatto noto nè con i casi diagnosticati sulla nave da crociera, nè con altri casi noti di Hantavirus - e "pur non rientrando nella definizione di caso sospetto come da circolare del ministero della Salute - a scopo precauzionale e per completezza diagnostica si è proceduto a contattare lo Spallanzani che ha ritenuto opportuno l'approfondimento diagnostico". E' giunta infine la conferma che il test è negativo.

The Messina patient continues treatment

The patient who tested negative for Hantavirus and was hospitalized at the Messina Polyclinic for pneumonia is continuing treatment. According to the hospital, the 49-year-old woman, who arrived at the emergency room of the university hospital on May 10th, coming from an endemic area of Argentina, was immediately placed in biocontainment already upon her first access to the emergency area, and then transferred to the infectious diseases department where she continued her therapies while in isolation.

The patient reported not having had any known contact with the diagnosed cases on the cruise ship, nor with other known cases of Hantavirus - and “even though she does not fall within the definition of a suspected case as per the Health Ministry’s circular – for precautionary and diagnostic completeness, contact was made with the Spallanzani, who deemed further diagnostic investigation appropriate.” Finally, confirmation arrived that the test is negative.

Agi: Il 25enne calabrese sotto osservazione: test Hantavirus allo Spallanzani

AGI - Un giovane 25enne residente a Villa San Giovanni (RC) è attualmente sotto osservazione precauzionale dopo essere stato sullo stesso volo di una donna deceduta per Hantavirus a Johannesburg. Sebbene inizialmente si fosse parlato di sintomi sospetti, la sindaca Giusy Caminiti ha smentito categoricamente ogni malessere: il ragazzo sta bene, è asintomatico e sta trascorrendo la quarantena presso la propria abitazione.
Come previsto dal protocollo del Ministero della Salute, domani verranno effettuati i prelievi biologici che saranno poi analizzati dall'Istituto Spallanzani di Roma. Al momento, non è previsto alcun trasferimento del giovane presso il nosocomio capitolino.
Il bilancio globale dell'OMS
Il Direttore Generale dell'Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, ha fornito gli ultimi aggiornamenti sul focolaio legato alla nave da crociera MV Hondius. Ad oggi si contano 11 casi totali (nove confermati come influenza andina e due probabili), inclusi tre decessi. È importante sottolineare che non si verificano nuove vittime dallo scorso 2 maggio.
La sorveglianza sanitaria per i passeggeri della nave è stata ufficialmente estesa: il conteggio della quarantena partirà dal 10 maggio, portando il termine della sorveglianza rafforzata al 21 giugno.
Monitoraggio e rischi futuri
Secondo l'OMS, il rischio per la salute pubblica globale rimane basso. Tuttavia, poiché il virus delle Ande è l'unico Hantavirus capace di trasmettersi da persona a persona, non si esclude l'identificazione di nuovi contagi nelle prossime settimane a causa del lungo periodo di incubazione.
