I'm unconvinced that the end of formal Win10 support will turn remaining systems into security risks.
On the one hand, any as-yet-unpatched vulnerabilites WILL remain.
On the other hand, none of Microsoft's new Win11 fuckery will be backported to Win10, mitigating the additio0n of new vulnerabilities. Win10 has been under scrutiny for years, while Win11 is still pretty much a V1.0 product, as shown by Redmond's ongoing blunders..
On the gripping hand, operating a Win10 system behind a firewall, using an up-to-date browser, adblocker, and antivirus package, and avoiding dodgy Web sites and unverified downloads - all the normal security practices of a sensible computer user - should reduce the residual risk to threat levels comparable to a Win11 system, if not better.
