2 laptops saved today - ACER ASPIRE E15 - Lenovo IDEAPAD 100 15BD The ACER kept saying "no bootable device" after install and there were lots of advice as to that ... but none worked ... until I found one telling me that UEFI is flawed on that machine, so I should try legacy boot. That didit. The ideapad wouldn't let me configure USB boot and I had some trouble to get an iventoy PXE Boot server working, but finally ... :-) 1/2

Wenn sie es wirklich durchziehen will, empfehle ich Linux Mint - das habe ich wegen #endof10 bei meinen Großeltern (Ü80) installiert und sie kommen gut damit klar, besser sogar als mit einer testweise probierten Win11-Oberfläche, wo sich viel im Vergleich zu 10 verändert hat, während bei Mint vieles an derselben Stelle liegt wie bei Win10 (oder dahin gelegt werden kann).

Nach ~35 Jahren habe ich endlich herausgefunden, was Windows wirklich ist (weil - ein Betriebssystem ist es offensichtlich nicht),. Es ist ein verdammter Escape Room.
