Hi I'm Michelle in #Ontario #Canada Supporting #ontedsolidarity and #onhealthcare.
I have #Lupus and run a support group for lupus warriors. I want to spread #lupusawareness!

This has been one hell of learning experience. For example, before last week who knew that "mastodon" has one a and two o's?

It's a work from home day today and I couldn't be more grateful.

A busy week and some busy days to come means I'm very nearly out of beans. So today I'm snuggled on the sofa under an electric blanket whilst working on my laptop. Working this way, I'll be more productive and less exhausted than if I'd gone into the office.

Employing disabled people isn't difficult, it just sometimes takes a little thought and flexibility.

#CUPE is again in #strike position. I will again shut down my small business & join the picket line in support of the amazing educational assistants that make my child's #education possible & meaningful. I will NOT have my child participate in on line learning as I will NOT cross the picket line.

I am so excited that there is a platform where disabled people can come together and ask questions of drs and connect with other people.
As we all know being disabled can be very isolating.
I would like to thank Ashley and Chris for their apologies and rectifying the situation, that's all we can ask for and hope that it doesn't happen again. ๐Ÿงต
Lets play a Roulette game!
Im sick right now with either Covid, the Flu or RSV. I have been seriously sick for 3 weeks with no end in sight. Shortage breath, wheezy breathing, headache, fatigue, sore throat, thrush.
If you think masks don't work come by I won't wear one either!

"For many disabled patients, the doctor is often not in. Some doctors avoid patients with disabilities, and barriers to routine care abound." Ars Technica

I hear about medical discrimination all the time from the disability community, no surprise here. ๐Ÿ˜” https://undark.org/2022/11/07/for-many-disabled-patients-the-doctor-is-often-not-in/

For Many Disabled Patients, the Doctor Is Often Not In

Some doctors avoid patients with disabilities, advocates say. And even when they don't, barriers to routine care abound.
