Apparently there's a bill that'd allow companies & retailers to issue & use their own crypto.

Let's avoid going back to the bad old days of company scrip where your company salary only works at company store, they trap you, & devalue wages... but on a computer.

I'm tired of manual python repos setup 😩...

I made pyuvstarter, a small command-line app to set up local Python repos, find python imports, install the packages, then config uv .venv & vscode for you.

It saves me a bunch of steps on projects, try it!

This is also the same company whose Bayraktar TB2 drones became famous for their use by Ukraine at the start of Russia’s invasion.

This sewage dumping scandal in the UK is wild, and people are getting really sick.

I anticipate an increase in the frequency of issues like that will be coming up in the USA over the next several years relative to 2024 levels.

This is why 404 media is one of the few outlets we should trust w.r.t tech reporting. They're not stenographers.

Keep dreaming of a better future and speaking up when something is wrong whenever you can!

A generally useful system is composed of special cases that are within its scope.

Some special cases are easily justifiable as out of scope.

However, beware of throwing out the special cases needed to achieve generality— you’ll be left with a system that’s generally useless.
