Its easy for trolls to get a patent in US Patent law, copyright law, and trademark law. It happens literally all the time. It happens all the time in fiber arts.
What am I proposing people do? I don't know. I'm just informing folks. Its exhausting and annoying.
If the owners had just marketed their designs and kept their mouth shut... it wouldn't be as outrageous? The designs are lovely. But they didn't file a patent for the ARTWORK.

This company Lemonwood openly sent cease and desist letters to small businesses selling this "yarn minder": a wooden or acrylic wrist yarn holder that swivels.
You can 3d print these yourself. You can buy little kits from large companies like Knitpicks/Wecrochet. You can laser cut these. Etc.
The designs look lovely on their own. Its a shame this person is badgering smaller businesses for selling a yarn holder that has existed for decades.
When you're in progressive spaces, terms are thrown around a lot and its known what they meant. More people need to know these terms.

Man I do not like this Marshmallow DK worsted yarn. I touch it and it's just 4 strings that I'm trying to treat like a solid whole. It splits just by looking at it.
