People have completely given up on the gov. road reports site which isn't updated in enough time to help anyone, especially with rapidly changing conditions. Some of their essential road cams are not working and haven't for a while (reportedly due to vandalism- fuck whoever did that) and they often only go by the weather report, not boots on the ground so "it's snowing up there" doesn't describe the actual road surface conditions. The people's road and weather conditions sites are where it's at now. Reports by truckers and travellers in real time. #ruralCanada #winter #snowinthemountains
