Honorable people question power. They demand that powerful people justify their actions. They study history to understand how powerful people in the past have contributed to injustices, in the hope to illuminate and avoid modern injustices. People who easily acquiesce to power are a danger to their own community. People who refuse to study our past burden us all when they insist on being heard.
