A sneak peak at my latest #spinning project - 8 skeins of 100% Alpaca 2-Ply #HandSpunYarn in un-dyed, natural hues

I originally started this spin with the intention of #knitting the #IcelandscapeShawl by #StephenWest , but my stash is overflowing so this lot _might_ be moving along to nimbler needles

I need to go back and spin a few more yards of some of the colors, but stay tuned if you're interested in getting your hooks into these bad boys

Ugh wow the lighting in my kitchen is no good, but I wanted to share before continuing -

2 whole skeins (200g) done on the #HandSpunHandKnit sweater! This is the back part of the cardigan, worked up to the underarm.

Hopefully the raglan shaping takes less than 100g, or I might be in trouble! I only have 700g of fiber for the whole project 😱

Today I finally did some yarn-finishing. Naturally this meant it must rain. Can't complain though - the rain helps to clear the haze.

It's a very satisfying chore, to set the twist of yarn, provided you have a big enough surface to thwack the yarn. Good thread can take a lot of abuse! #handmade #HandSpinning #HandSpinner #HandSpunYarn #knitting #crochet #SpindleSpinning
