she decided she wanted to help (unfortunately she backspun or I'd call it cat-spun yarn) #cat #handspinning
plying my supported spindle yarn on my Turkish spindle :) #handspinning
It’s April 2 and time for my monthly round up of my #FiberGoals. I have done 5+ min of fiberarts for 92 consecutive days. Mostly spinning, sometimes knitting. I also made hexiflats (3 handspun). AND, I completed one project from spinning through knitting (my S2KAL Jaunty). Other things - like progress on the Advent calendar - have fallen away. That will probably be a next year thing at this point. I’m really happy with what I’m doing right now. #TextileArt #handSpinning #knitting #FiberArts
Happy to share some comb waste with the birds.

For #WIPWednesday I have:
* I made good progress on the very orange Galice summer top. One side finished and the other up to the neck opening. I'll have more than enough yarn. So I can start thinking of another small orange project.
* Steady going on the waffle sweater. About 50.000 stitches done and not yet halfway in.
* First bobbin of the next batch of the 4-ply sweater spin done. My box of floof is empty, but spring weather is coming for outdoors combing.

First batch of self combed Border Leicester fleece turned into 4 ply yarn. Yet to be dyed. It's about a DK weight. In my eulogy after I die I expect "She was a spinner of thin yarns."

Just in time for the thick summer glove season.

I only have to sew in the ends and tighten up loose stitches and wash and block them!

Not at all what I set out to make at the beginning. I'm ok with that.

I recently finished this gorgeous (if I do say so myself) spin of a Polwarth/Silk blend from Fossil Fibers Cephalopoda series. I think it’s destined to be a shawl or a hat, probably combined with another yarn because this is only 174 yds. #handSpinning #textilearts #FiberArts this is the one I was referring to in my earlier comment thread with @madgeface

I’m also super pleased that my attempts
as spinner thicker yarn were successful. I’m doing thin again now.

The original braid of Chambered Nautilus and one of the singles being spun. I’ve finished one bobbin and I’m in the middle of the second with a third one to come. #HandSpinning
