I've been busy with some fiber arts while waiting for the weather to finish warming up for gardening season. I'm finally most of the way through this Gulf Coast Native fleece (a whole fleece - that's a lot of wool!) that I dyed with butternut hulls and coffee. It feels like it's taking forever, since I only have time to work on it every now and then. I'm looking forward to starting on the knitting-a-sweater phase of the project.

The last two blends made. I have three large fauxlags in each colour. So that will take me through summer on hand spindles and leave some for the wheel too.

Started playing around on the drum carder with some fibers that @venite gave me and some fiber from stash. I try to make a colour gradient of two colours with some white alpaca added for texture and more interesting colour. I plan to use it on hand spindles, But it's a lot so I'll probably do part of it on a spinning wheel.

I did a spin-to-knit-along with @Pufferfish and 2 other friends that also happened to occur at the same time as a larger spin to knitalong for the Jaunty shawl. The 4 of us spun the same braid of fiber and then used to it knit a Jaunty. I did mine chunky (my first chunky spin!) and then used a yarn from The Fibre Co as contrast. #HandSpinning #knitting #textilearts #FiberArts

For #WIPWednesday :
* Fun experiment with dyeing in the wool (small ball on top) versus dyeing yarn. Same fiber, same dye bath. Made a swatch that I'm not happy with. That's important information. Browsing through more patterns. And spinning and combing.
* Slow progress on the waffle sweater. The circumference is enormous, so two circular needles in use.
* Slow progress on the summer top of commercial yarn. Separated at the armholes. It looks like I'll have enough yarn.
