Real life #craft project completed! this is my first time trying #needlefelting . This was a kit, but I am bad at following kit instructions. It's a lot like clay sculpting, except the sound of the needle going in and out is extremely unpleasant. Yes, the sound. I've been working with needles and pins all my life so I don't really feel the pokes.
Also, I am allergic to wool. What was I thinking? Luckily I didn't really react.
The only thing I miss here in #regensburg is the sea. So on my desk there are currently appearing some felted „stones“ in the size of pebbles with colorful felted corals, #beading and #embroidery.

#wipWednesday
This one has been on the wip pile for a long old time and it's been started and stopped many times as I get new ideas and run out of ideas... Maybe it will never get to a point where I feel its working...
Initially it was just wet and needle felted. Then I added embroidery to give more definition to the rocks. Most recently I added organza over the water... still thinking about it...

I think this is the first time I've ever been interviewed by a science journalist about my hobby rather than my job 😊 A huge thanks to Naomi for featuring my #needlefelting obsession in this lovely article about 'analogue' activities
