CCYesterday I wasn't "allowed" to knit. Kitty stole it and didn't move for hours 😅
But today, I was smarter. I did not put the knitting down on the couch while refilling my coffee! Thus I was allowed my knitting in peace ☺️
It's a slow process to card, spin, ply, skein, wash, dry and then knit. But the it's so worth it. The softness yet sturdiness of handspun yarn is amazing. And the colors 🥰

I’ve spent the last week sick while at a festival. Not a lot of festival related things happened, but I had my wheel with me so much spinning was done between naps. I have some delightful #handspunyarn to wash dust out of now that I’m home.
Konversation unlängst bei einem Stricktreffen, ich mit meiner Handspindel (wie so oft in letzter Zeit 😎 ):
Spricht mich einer vom Nebentisch an:
„Sorry, wir sind neugierig und wollten fragen, was das eigentlich ist…?!“
Die ganze Runde im Chor: „Eine Handspindel!“
Ich: „Sozusagen die Vorstufe zum Stricken.“
Kollegin: „Sie spinnt!“
Ich: „Also wortwörtlich!“

I got a few rows of knitting done today too 🥰
I've been spending the majority of my day studying fermentation in multiple areas to help support gut-health and hopefully finding a few beverages that is better than soda for the weekends. Also been researching seitan and tofu recipies in the hopes of finding a protein source kiddo can eat since meat only works in jerky-form r.n. (kiddo's ARFID).
Bit at the end of the day, I got to sit down with a nice cup of coffee and an audiobook while knitting 🥰
I will very soon have to start spindling again. The brown åsenwool needs refilling. The white leicester will last the entire pattern thankfully 🥰

I baked bread and made a big batch of food so I don't have to worry bout lunch tomorrow. Then I wanted to knit but the cat had stolen my knitting 😅 I finally got it back when I fed the cats around 9pm. So I have managed a few rows today at least 🤣

After a day of cooking and cleaning and helping out a neighbor, I am finally sat on the couch knitting after a warm comfortable dinner.
Progress is rather slow for being me but I am actively taking my time. Slowing down the process to really enjoy the feel of my yarn becoming this sweater. 🥰
