I've successfully finished my first attempt at stranded knitting!!!
Did I learn a lot? You betcha.
But it was so much more fun than I expected it to be!
Pattern: Nivosa Hat by Anya Hawkings
Needles: 3.0 mm & 4.0 mm
Yarn: Plymouth Yarn Fantasy Naturale Solid Denim & Navy
I have knitted another 4 inches (28 rows) in the eggplant color for the Big-Ass Blanket (also: Big Ass-Blanket). It'll be a stockinette blanket with 4" garter edges and striping between the two colors, hopefully to cover a king sized bed.
Next: 4" (28 rows) of mint.
My initial estimates of yarn usage were way short, so I have ordered a bunch more of the Eggplant and some more (expensive) Mint and planned a more symmetrical pattern that uses less mint.

Merry Christmas Eve, Fedi friends!
In the last week or so we've witnessed more than our fair share of holiday miracles:
The shopping delivery slot that magically opened up just as we lost all hope. The complete lack of damage to either car after a minor bump with a neighbour.
And greater than all that stuff, finding my mini circular sock needle that somehow went astray while we were rearranging the living room to make room for the tree!
So on this coziest of days, I am finally making a start on a pair of Aviation Socks that have been in my queue for yonks. Hooray!
