Western psychology often violates Buddhism, by selling Buddhist techniques (equanimity as 'radical acceptance', detached awareness as 'cognitive defusion', etc) at the high price of a psychotherapist. Buddha wanted his Dhamma to be freely available for everyone.

Das Märchen von der Prinzessin und ihrer Sockenschublade verdeutlicht den Unterschied zwischen Akzeptanz und Resignation.

Resignation hat immer etwas hoffnungsloses, hilfloses oder selbstabwertendes. "Es wird sich niemals ändern, ich habe es auch gar nicht besser verdient und kann eh nichts machen".

Akzeptanz ist hingegen eher neutral und mitfühlend. Die Tatsachen so sehen wie sie sind, nicht mehr dagegen ankämpfen, akzeptieren.
Hierbei heißt Akzeptanz auch nicht gut finden, sondern sehen wie es ist, und es so annehmen.

Oft findet man dann nach einer Zeit, mit der freigeworden Energie, die nicht mehr in die Tatsachenverleugnung gesteckt wird, neue Sichtweisen.

Wie die Prinzessin, die nun drei Optionen für sich sieht.

Ja, das ist in der Verhaltenstherapie seit Jahrzehnten bekannt.
Die „Dritte Welle der Verhaltenstherapie“ wie zb die #AcceptanceAndCommitmentTherapy setzt das seit längerem um.
Der Gegenstandsbereich ist hier aber #behaviorismus und nicht #neurowissenschaften
Das Gehirn lernt nicht, sondern ist der Ort und notwendige Bedingung der Funktionen
