To some, flying is so routine they close their blinds and sleep, but for me? As long as there's sunlight to be had, I pay rapt attention and take in a wonder that few human beings who ever lived got a chance to experience: "A Dream of the Clouds from the Other Side...", taken by yours truly.

I did this in Rebelle for a community art study of skies. Hubby took the reference photo and said I should paint it. Quite enjoyed being loose and vague with the landscape, and of course that moment when it all goes from being blobby, streaky weirdness to looking like believable clouds.

I shot this along the Sunset Cliffs Natural Park just as the sun softened the clouds into peach and gray. A quiet meeting of sandstone and sea, with misty water sliding around the rocks and the sky reflecting on the calm surface.
