I went to a #Burnaby school district meeting last night about #GenAI and education. Here is what I took away.

The presentation itself was predictably neutral. It summarized a loose definition of AI, outlined how AI is currently being used by educators and students, and then talked about the district's "AI policy" (non-specific to the point of meaninglessness). Finally, there were some suggestions about AI use can be discussed at home.
