I couldn’t care less about a politician’s sex life (so long as that sex is with consenting adults) or extramarital affairs. But if a dude gets a Nazi-adjacent tattoo in 2007 and doesn’t get it removed/covered until 2025—well after a rising tide of fascism should have had him asking questions about certain symbols—that, to me, screams “I’m friendly with Nazis and Nazi ideology, and I’m only putting on a performance now that I’m in the public eye.”

Hitler promised socialist-like things to his base, too, fam. The “Nazi Party” was the “National Socialist German Workers’ Party.” Turns out a person can promise to fight for the working class AND be a motherfucking fascist.

Jacobin writers pushing Platner on me, writing things like “judge him by how he fights the oligarchs,” can all eat shit.
