🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🚆🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 The #UK and #Welsh governments have agreed a new framework for rail services in #Wales and the English-Welsh borders under Great #British #Railways (GBR). The deal gives Wales a stronger role in shaping services, with decisions increasingly made locally and a commitment to bilingual passenger information. GBR and Transport for Wales will work more closely to deliver a simpler, more integrated and passenger-focused railway, improving reliability, connections and day-to-day performance. The agreement supports long-term investment plans, including upgrades, new stations and better links with other transport. It forms part of wider rail reforms aimed at creating a more efficient, joined-up network across Great Britain.

Apparently, #Dorset has bards: “A bard is an honorary cultural role given to a local poet–storyteller who serves as a literary ambassador for the area.

Rebecca Danicic was crowned the fourth Bard of Caer Dur [Dorchester] in 2025 after winning an open competition at Dorchester’s Corn Exchange with her own writing and performances inspired by the area’s rich literary history.”

And finally, a performance of the Sammy Davis Jr.classic “The Rhythm of Life” from the musical “Sweet Charity” by Côr Glanaethwy from the famous Bangor, Wales drama school Ysgol Glanaethwy (https://youtu.be/hAgs3BgTamw?si=KIbSrEVyNF5stTTZ). This performance went viral due to its mixing of English and Welsh lyrics. Sadly, Côr Glanaethwy would come in 2nd place in the competition.
