The deal gives Wales a stronger role in shaping services, with decisions increasingly made locally and a commitment to bilingual passenger information. GBR and Transport for Wales will work more closely to deliver a simpler, more integrated and passenger-focused railway, improving reliability, connections and day-to-day performance. The agreement supports long-term investment plans, including upgrades, new stations and better links with other transport. It forms part of wider rail reforms aimed at creating a more efficient, joined-up network across Great Britain.
