Just the picture – this stone arch on the Belsay Estate in Northumberland makes for a great framing of some lovely English countryside at this time of the year.
The arch and walls enclose the grounds of the 14th century Belsay Castle, once home to the Middleton family.
The nearby castle was abandoned in the early 19th century for a newly-built much grander residence of Belsay Hall.
The estate is now in the care of English Heritage.
