WASHINGTON (STATI UNITI) (ITALPRESS) – “I media delle fake news odiano riportare i successi ottenuti dall'esercito degli Stati Uniti contro l'Iran, che è stato completamente sconfitto e vuole un accordo, ma non un accordo che io accetterei. L'Iran aveva piani per conquistare l'intero Medio Oriente e annientare completamente Israele. Proprio come l'iran stesso, quei piani sono ora morti”. Così sui social il presidente degli Stati Uniti, Donald Trump, che poco prima aveva annunciato di avere dato ordine al Comando Centrale degli Stati Uniti di condurre “uno dei più potenti bombardamenti nella storia del Medio Oriente, annientando completamente ogni obiettivo militare sull'isola di Kharg, il gioiello della corona iraniana. Le nostre armi sono le più potenti e sofisticate che il mondo abbia mai conosciuto ma, per ragioni di decenza, ho scelto di non distruggere le infrastrutture petrolifere sull'isola. Tuttavia – prosegue Trump -, qualora l'Iran, o chiunque altro, dovesse fare qualcosa per interferire con il libero e sicuro passaggio delle navi attraverso lo Stretto di Hormuz, riconsidererò immediatamente questa decisione. Durante il mio primo mandato, e tuttora, ho ricostruito le nostre forze armate trasformandole nella forza più letale, potente ed efficace, di gran lunga, al mondo. L'Iran non ha la capacità di difendere nulla di ciò che vogliamo attaccare: non c'è niente che possano fare al riguardo. L'Iran non avrà mai un'arma nucleare, nè avrà la capacità di minacciare gli Stati Uniti d'America, il Medio Oriente o, del resto, il mondo intero. Our weapons are the most powerful and sophisticated that the world has ever known, but for reasons of decency, I chose not to destroy the oil infrastructure on the island. However – Trump continued – if Iran, or anyone else, were to do anything to interfere with the free and safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I would immediately reconsider this decision. During my first term, and still today, I have rebuilt our armed forces, transforming them into the most lethal, powerful and effective force, by far, in the world. Iran has no ability to defend anything we want to attack: there’s nothing they can do about it. Iran will never have a nuclear weapon, nor will it have the ability to threaten the United States of America, the Middle East, or, indeed, the whole world.
