Ech, w tym artykule martwili się, że włączenie GSM-R pozbawi nas Radio-Stopu, zastanawiałem się - ale w sumie czemu miało by być to niemożliwe, skoro instrukcje mówią, że na połączenie alarmowe należy reagować zatrzymaniem pociągu tak szybko, jak to możliwe?
…Okazuje się, że Czesi sobie dorobili Radio-Stop do GSM-R jako rozszerzenie. Nasi, widać, nie pomyśleli, bądź obawiali się wzrostu kosztów czy komplikacji przy wdrażaniu…

ICYMI, With 1 December, the GSM-R rollout in Poland is set to finally start - the day will mark the start of trial use of GSM-R on the Warsaw-Gdynia, Warsaw-just before Poznań, just past Warsaw-Łódź and Skierniewice-Łowicz mainlines, to be "operationally deployed" (made mandatory, I guess?) on #RailwayNewYear. In March, just past Warsaw/Skierniewice-Łuków-Terespol, Poznań-Kunowice (DE border), Opole-Wrocław-Węgliniec-Bielawa Dolna (DE border) to follow.
Of those, Warsaw-Gdynia, Warsaw-Łódź and Opole-Wrocław-Legnica already have ETCS up going by OpenRailwayMap

Meanwhile in Polish rail: The minister of infrastructure promises an agreement on resuming GSM-R construction is close - for two years now, work has been stopped and PKP PLK and the construction companies had been at each other's throats.

Minister infrastruktury Dariusz Klimczak zapowiada, że negocjacje dotyczące wznowienia prac przy montażu systemu ERTMS/GSM-R są bliskie finału i wkrótce zacznie się jego montaż na konkretnych liniach. PKP PLK potwierdza “ostatnią prostą” rozmów i wskazuje, że jedną z linii, gdzie pojawi się system w pierwszej kolejności będzie CMK.
