going to give this another go.

my aim is to set up #openclaw on an old #lenovo miix that was gifted to me.

i had skill issues last week with installing #linux onto the machine and put the project on hold (as i had work for clients to complete).

the issue was that the uefi runs 32 bit even though the cpu is 64 bit.

so, today i flashed #MX_Linux which supports both.

it's still not simple. after a few attempts and then reflashing the usb with a different flavour (kde instead of flux) i at least seem to be getting a working linux machine.

i love #foss and #opensource, but i understand why it doesn't catch on.

let's hope openclaw runs on this machine!

Shoutout to guys at @mxlinux who have made a great distro.

I have a new device and #MX_Linux worked on it right off the bat. The kernel on Void Linux was compiled without PWM_CRC so I couldn't change my backlight, and Debian 13.1 struggled with detecting my audio.

Great job. Looking forward to MX Linux 25's release.

I play around with #MX_Linux which I like very much, so easy to use. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, especially since the OS is free and there are a lot of hardworking developers improving MX Linux on a regular basis - but - could they do something with that dreadful logo they designed? Looks like a crucifix has toppled on to a tent.

I have a cheek, I really have. I have done nothing to improve the OS (as if I could) and I can't draw logos. The only thing I've done is made a donation.
