So, I did some #firmware updates but apparently this laptop does NOT like being connected to a docking station for two days straight just idling.
It's a generic USB-C dock but provides microSD and SE card slots, several USB 3 ports, Ethernet, and dual displays via DisplayPort.
This dock previously was dedicated to my home office with my work laptop, an HP Elitebook. The dock works fine but apparently there are weird power issues on the later high end #ThinkPad models related to the use of non-Lenovo docks that trip up or otherwise confuse the laptop's power and embedded controllers. Additionally, the two TB4 ports are different. This is specific to the new #AMD #Ryzen 9 #AI #HX370 #laptop chips and not #Intel.
Still researching but as awesome as this laptop is, spec-wise, it feels like #Lenovo rushed it to market without the proper testing it needed.
It also does NOT help that Lenovo shipped this with #OEM #Ubuntu but their support pages *only* cover #Windows 10/11.
A brand new laptop should NOT have this many #problems. Ugh.
