What are your top 3 Linux distros? 🐧

1. Ubuntu — daily driver; can't wait for the next LTS version, love what they did in 23.10

2. Linux Mint XFCE — revived an old laptop with it, so easy to use, Chicago95 makes it so cool and retro

3. Solus — bit of an odd choice, I admit, but I really liked the design and that it was doing its own thing

@ninokadic Desktop use - Ubuntu, sure.

Server use - Red Hat. The tooling needed for security hardening is just awesome.

@troed Wouldn't know much about servers, but I did hear good things about Red Hat. Ubuntu is better than ever on desktop/laptops now, loving it :))
@ninokadic I‘ve found Xubuntu and Lubuntu incredibly useful for turning cheap netbooks into useable laptops.
@ninokadic fedora 39 workstation. almost bleeding edge, but very stable and safe to use everyday.

@ninokadic My top 3 are #Ubuntu, #Debian, and #MX_linux. I might be little bias since I have an @ubuntu.com email address, but I've used Ubuntu as my daily driver for almost 7 years 😅

I bounce around the Ubuntu flavors between each release; the flavor leads are great and care quite a lot about the quality of their desktop. I use Debian when I can't use Ubuntu, and I used MX Linux on my sister's 2011 MacBook Air.

@nuccitheboss Nice! I'll have to try MX Linux in a VM, I heard a lot about it
@ninokadic Fedora, Mint and Sailfish
