Whenever I see exactly this meme ... I always think of Seth Vidal. I don't say this to discourage the sharing - but because it hits the real-life nerve quite on the spot.

🚨 Tumbleweed’s main advantage is NOT raw performance

🚩 This is the important distinction.

🚀 The strongest objectively verifiable advantage of Tumbleweed is:

✅ Btrfs + Snapper + rollback + openQA-tested rolling updates

—not benchmark leadership.

That is a workflow/reliability advantage, not a pure FPS/render benchmark advantage.

You use #Fedora 44 and #Gnome, and paste via middle mouse button won't work anymore? Well, this is an intentional design decision by the @gnome devs. They've changed the default.

To restore it:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface gtk-enable-primary-paste true

EDIT: You can also use the Gnome Tweak Tools to change the setting.

What is the latest on a potential Fedora Verified program for contributing to the project? Here are the results from the survey we did a few weeks ago.

Long story short, the community wants to make sure we value code and non-code contributions, make it easy for new people to join, not be strict when someone stops being "verified", and more.

The Fedora Council is taking all of this in as it considers next steps for this program. Thank you for your feedback!
