i hate the #Firefox #Iceraven redesign in #Android. who the hell thought dropping the toolbar and hiding the extensions menu was a good idea?

and the tabs gallery? now i see less of them in the limited screen space of a tablet.

Iceraven ist mein bevorzugter Android Browser. Eine Sache nervt allerdings gewaltig: man kann keine lokal gespeicherten Lesezeichen importieren.

I have been using #Firefox also exclusively on all my laptops and lab computers both on #Linux and #Windows. Only make sense I would also use it or its derivatives on my #Android phones too. Yes I am. I use #IceRaven and #Fennec on my phone, both come with browser extension support and are still receiving updates now and then. However still, one small issue bugs me. Although sync work for both browsers after I login my #Mozilla account, meaning I can see all tabs and history and all across devices, sending a tab from one device to another barely works. I remember with my last phone it worked most of time, more then half I suppose, but with the phone I am using now, it never worked for both browsers. I might have to give vanilla firefox a try though, before I am sure.

@stavvers I had a chance to test file.pizza between two #GrapheneOS devices on my home network with predictably disappointing results.

#VanadiumBrowser didn't work for either sharing or downloading:
* security hardened #ChromiumBrowser.

#DuckDuckGoBrowser works for sharing only.

#IceRaven works for sharing and downloading:
* fork of #Firefox

That transferring files worked at all, with any combination of browsers was a surprise. 😯

Non so a quali browser proprietari tu faccia riferimento, ma io non ne uso.

Uso fork di Firefox come #LibreWolf o #Iceraven propriamente configurati ed integrati con altri software liberi (o almeno open source).

#unmicrosoft: 100% everything I have control over, but work forces Windows on me
#nobara, #fedora, #mint and various distros on my test laptop

#ungoogle: 75%, still have some email adresses that are used as login everywhere, switching is hard work.
For Android I have #grapheneos and #calyxos on my daily drivers, but testing #mobilelinux like #sailfish and #ubuntutouch.
#Waterfox and #Iceraven for browsers.
And for the rest of the services I love my #nextcloud.
Also, #peertube and #nebula.
Honestly, #google is the hardest to get rid of, but maybe the one that really shouldn't have all that data about me. 🤔

i didn’t ask to see no tabs nor a permanent shortcut for private browsing. i need to know how to get rid of this new ish via about:config

for fuck’s sake developers: DO NOT MAKE UI/UX CHANGES WITHOUT ANNOUCING AND WITHOUT OPT-OUT OPTIONS

do not surprise people with changes they didn’t ask for. add changes as optional configuration settings.
