Since #android gets closed, I am thinking about how to develop #applications in the future.

I would like to stay with #java , since that's what I am most familiar with.

My applications should, besides a #linux #desktop, also run on #mobiles , once #linux becomes more mature on them (e.g. #postmarketos, #mobian , #ubuntutouch ).

Is it #javafx , or #qtjamba ?

Or even something completely different?

What to use? What is expected to be mostly compatible with future #mobile #devices running mainline #linux ?

Have been experimenting with both, #javafx and #qujamba, using #apache #netbeans as my #ide, and both make a nice impression and work well.

Any comments?

Už zítra a pozítří budu na stánku #ubuntu v rámci akce #installfest. V rámci stánku bude i stánek #ubports, na kterém budou k vidění různé telefony s #ubuntutouch. Budu se těšit na každého, kdo se přijde podívat a popovídat si. #installfest26 #installfest2026 #linux #mobilelinux

Je to pár dní, co mi do sbírky přibyl přírůstek. Instalace #ubuntutouch od #ubports na něm proběhla hladce. Telefon je sice starší ale třeba pro vývojářské testování aplikací by to mohla být dobrá levná varianta... K vidění bude v rámci akce #installfest na stánku #ubuntu.
