My whole day ruined due to my lack for care, cross talk and high speed serial communication...

I was lazy to learn the commands to slow down the #gnss chip so I made bluetooth faster. How fast? 460k baud. It worked for a moment and I called it done.

Little did I know my sloppy cable job and cross talk will bite me in the ass when I tried the thing in a remote area for mapping. My #hamradio's systemic ticking on UHF when it is on gave away the culprit. Now it is down to 9600 baud and everything just works.

Really nobody working in that building noticed it?

They now have the opportunity to fix the model, but they will never read this post…

I thought #DVSA were requiring photos of #vehicle being presented for test? Would also be relatively easy to add #GNSS receiver to #MOT testing kit and/or the device used to take the photos - this, alongside time analysis of the requests sent to the testing system should make it easier to authenticate legitimate vehicle tests..

(This relates to Great Britain's compulsory vehicle inspection regime, which is mostly carried out by approved independent #garages )
