Why download 8 GB when your area of interest only covers a small fraction of the acquisition?

The new release introduces STAC API + CDSE S3-powered partial product downloads, allowing EO-Tools to retrieve only the bursts required for your area of interest.

Example for a 2-burst partial product:

⚡ Download time: ~10 min → 1 min

I've been working on a new EO-Tools 🌍 feature designed to lower the barrier to temporal processing of Sentinel-1 🛰️ data.
As a test case, I generated this animation from 6 Sentinel-1A / Sentinel-1C acquisition pairs over the Pyrenees 🏔️, showing the temporal evolution of:
- Dual-pol RGB
- VV InSAR coherence
- VV amplitude
- Copernicus DEM
The new capability will be included in the next EO-Tools release.

Finally carved out some time to work on new features for EO-Tools 🚀

I'm currently working on downloading partial Sentinel-1 products 🛰️

This should unlock much more efficient multi-temporal processing by reducing both download time and storage requirements.

Example:
• only need 2 bursts?
• download time drops from ~40 min to ~2 min ⚡
• disk usage also drops dramatically 💾

Today I experimented with different ways of visualizing information from the same Sentinel-1C/D pair over the Pyrenees using EO-Tools.

Interesting how much can be extracted from the same SAR acquisitions:

- geocoded amplitude,
- RTC dual-pol RGB,
- interferometric coherence,
- coherence + polarization RGB composites

Just for fun I tested for the first time EO-Tools on a pair of Sentinel-1C and 1D images and it worked out of the box! Of course the InSAR phase does not show much, as fortunately there was no earthquake in Andorra recently! :-)
