EN - I tested @CoMapsfloss.social as my main GPS during a short road trip in Quebec, using an Android Auto system connected to my phone: it works really well, even though there are a few minor glitches that, personally, didn't bother me. I'm definitely sticking with it!
Note: Android Auto only connects to apps downloaded (and verified?) through the Google Play Store. By default, on my phone, my CoMaps app is still the one I downloaded from @fdroidorg. To connect to Android Auto, I downloaded a version of CoMaps from the Google Play Store—a bit of a hassle... and I’m still thinking about how to get around Android for everything (simply not using Android Auto, I guess: the phone can do the job if it’s positioned properly inside the car)...
Przejechałem z nim ponad 35 godzin z czego sporą część w pochmurne dni i jednak dał radę doładować sobie prawie 20%.
Gdy wczoraj wyjeżdżałem z domu na kręcenie (7g 22m całość, z czego 5g 38m w ruchu) miałem 67% i nadal zostało 60%. 7% na całą trasę z rejestrowaniem i nawigacją to chyba nieźle?
A poza tym jest wygodny w obsłudze (kółko i fizyczne przyciski poza ekranem dotykowym, więc łatwo się go używa nawet w grubych rękawiczkach) i umie eksportować od razu do Ride with GPS.

The Physics Of #GPS
I just made a new minor release of GeoClue, the freedesktop D-bus location server. Highlights of the release are fixes to NMEA parsing and Wifi device selection.
Thanks to all the contributors!

Nice step by step explanation with some interactive visualisations when someone asks how satellite positioning works. #dataviz #gps
But so to would Artemis 2.
In the reference frame of the Solar system's barycentre, Ted and #Artemis2, whilst not co-moving, have similar paths now that they are both on Terra.
We'd need to pick a reference frame closer to home, where Artemis 2 is now stationary and Ted continues to move. WGS-84 is the obvious choice, I think. I suspect Ted is already being measured in it.
I *definitely* wouldn't pick one with a billionaire as the origin point. The billionaire hopping onto a private (or even public) jet would make it seem like Artemis 2 was moving once again. Aside from complicating what is already a non-inertial frame, this seems like cheating to keep raising Artemis 2's total. (-:
Artemis 2 does get legitimate credit for a few thousand extra km, though, because the service module took its own path around the globe after separation from the crew module.
