Julie C. DayI stumbled into #Bookwyrm yesterday and got all sorts of excited! No algorithms pushing up 5-star positive reviews to increase commerce. No ads. No crews of super-fan marketing armies. (I'm an #sff #romancelandia #literary #allthebooks omnivore. Some types of books on goodreads are just roiling with suspect reviews.) I'm trying to settle into #mastodon before really diving in, but I couldn't resist. I already have an account and my 1st "now reading" book!

Ana Tudor 🐯A while ago, I got a hazelnut couverture chocolate. Was intrigued, even though I'm not exactly a hazelnut fan.
Today, I used it for lava cakes. I was worried because it wasn't just a bar with hazelnut paste in the #chocolate, it actually contained hazelnut bits, melted differently, final mix was not as dense as usual.
Well, I just had a #lavaCake - it's the bomb! The hazelnut bits all raised to the top to form a crunchy crust above the soft moist volcano with gooey choc lava inside.
Think I've just about got a mini grip on "how to" here. Will reblog and favorite lots of posts so I can get to know lots of different people and their stories
