I now live over at @jaseygalore

I am #disabled by #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis so braining isn’t my forte 😞 An odd turn of phrase tickles my fancy. I used to take lots of photos. Tarot is swell. Musician in spirit. YARN!

So massive are the stage-three tax cuts that we could raise jobseeker from $668.40 a fortnight to $1,925 and the total cost over the nine years from 2023-24 would be just $138m more, and the 2032-33 budget deficit would actually be smaller. https://www.theguardian.com/business/grogonomics/2023/jan/12/a-new-build-your-own-budget-tool-reveals-just-how-bad-the-stage-three-tax-cuts-are
A new ‘build your own budget’ tool reveals just how bad the stage-three tax cuts are

Parliamentary Budget Office tool shows how government could deliver tax cuts and also help those in much more need than people earning over $200,000

@LongCovidPharmD alas no. I see my GP on the 17th. I think he’s on vacation at the moment so if I’m already dead then he’s not at work to tell me.
@brobbeh @LongCovidPharmD I hope you are doing a bit better now.
@geth @LongCovidPharmD oops, my GP didn’t test for it before either. I went to hospital by ambulance for suspected cardiac issues and they tested. Went back again with worse symptoms, tested again and it was a bit higher. Back a third time for suspected DVT, tested again and still high. Had new bloods taken this morning so I suppose I find out in a day or two if the triple med therapy has helped 🥺
@geth @LongCovidPharmD I’m not entirely sure it is a ME or even a LC thing, just that mine is being a dork and we’re trying to find out why (essentially to rule out malignant cancer as that is the biggest concern given no clots appeared on a range of scans, and microclots allegedly don’t raise d-dimer).
Folks, the next step now is to encourage your professional institutions and groups to open accounts here. Casually drop it in a conversation or a written exchange. Tell corporate they must catch up with change. Get it on their radar. Because that other place they’ve settled into is becoming unprofessional.

@LongCovidPharmD I’m having bloods taken again on Monday to check d-dimer, and seeing my doctor again in about 2 weeks or so. I’ve since read though that high d-dimer isn’t likely caused by microclots 😩 but that many ME peeps may have had microclots before covid19+ was even a thing. Regardless, it’ll be a big relief if d-dimer is now dropping otherwise I think we’re then looking for malignant cancer?
@yaneerbaryam I have to tell people otherwise they make incorrect assumptions about my state of mind.

In 1925, Dr. Cecilia Payne completed her PhD thesis, described as “the most brilliant ever written in astronomy.” At a time when few #women entered academia, Payne discovered what the universe is made of. Her work began a revolution in astrophysics.

Dr. Payne-Gaposchkin became the 1st female professor & 1st female department chair at Harvard. Given most of us remember names like Darwin & Newton, we should also celebrate Payne. #science #space
