»Hier ist Bisan aus Gaza, und ich bin noch am Leben.« Mit diesen Worten beginnt die Journalistin Bisan Owda seit bald einem Jahr die meisten ihrer Videos, die sie aus dem #Gazastreifen sendet. Dabei verfügt sie über keine Kamera, kein Equipment für Live-Schalten, allein ihre blaue, kugelsichere Presse-Weste macht sie als Journalistin erkennbar. All das wurde bereits im Oktober 2023 zerstört, als ihre Wohnung in Beit Hanoun durch israelisches Bombardement zerstört wurde.
Also nutzt sie seitdem ihr Handy und sendet ihre beinah täglichen Kurzreportagen via Instagram in alle Welt. Fast 5 Millionen Menschen folgen ihr dort mittlerweile. In eindringlicher, persönlicher Nahsicht zeigt sie die zerstörerischen Auswirkungen der israelischen Kriegsführung auf die Bevölkerung in Gaza. Dabei ist sie selbst regelmäßig in Lebensgefahr. Für ihre Kurzdokumentation »It's Bisan from Gaza and I'm still alive« ist die 27-Jährige nun gemeinsam mit AJ+, dem Social Media Projekt Al Jazeeras, mit einem Emmy ausgezeichnet worden....

It is a terrible thing to witness the obliteration of your homeland. When I think about what we’ve lived through this past year, I feel like I’m going to lose my mind completely. It is a shock that I’m still unable to absorb. I try not to think at all, in the hope of maintaining my sanity until it ends.

„Wenn ein Kind geboren wird, entscheidet das Leben, wie lange es leben und wie viele Nächte es schlafen wird. Das habe ich seit meiner Jugend geglaubt. Doch in dem Vernichtungskrieg, in dem wir leben, ändern sich alle Bedeutungen. Dinge, die ich am meisten geliebt habe, sind zu einer brennenden Hölle geworden, aus der es keinen Ausweg gibt.
Die ewige Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit der Nacht sind zu einem lebendigen Albtraum geworden und haben sich in einen Kampf mit Angst und Beklemmung verwandelt. Der Wunsch nach Schlaf ist übermächtig. Denn schlafen – wer kann das schon noch?
Die Geräusche der Bombardierung wecken uns immer wieder auf. Und so fingen wir an zu beten: Dass die Sonne in der Mitte des Himmels stehenbleiben, dass die Nacht niemals kommen möge. Jedes Kind fürchtet, dass dies seine letzte Nacht sein könnte, und so beschlossen die Kinder, weder Tag noch Nacht zu schlafen, damit ihr Leben nicht verkürzt würde.….“

Die Einschränkung der Tätigkeit ist ja gerade die Absicht des Vorhabens.
Zunächst sind Hinweise und Bitten ignoriert worden, obwohl es Hinweise gab, daß humanitäre Hilfe gestohlen wurde. Und andere, schwerwiegendere Vorwürfe.
Nun reagiert Israel energisch. Das bedeutet nicht, daß humanitäre Hilfe nicht mehr zugelassen sein wird.
Mich macht der Beschluß äußerst zufrieden angesichts der 200 Mio aus D. Ich hoffe, die gelangen dann zu denen in Not.

IL plant, die Aktivitäten der UNRWA in Israel (incl. Jerusalem, Judäa und Samaria und Gaza) zu beenden.
Wir werden sehen, ob trotz intern. Protests, auch aus D, der Beschluß die nötige Mehrheit erhält und welche Möglichkeiten es dann geben wird, Anspruchsberechtigte mit humanitärer Hilfe zu versorgen.
Die grauenhafte Vernichtung schreitet voran - Der Gazastreifen kommt der Unbewohnbarkeit von Tag zu Tag näher

Was bedeutet das konkret für die Menschen?
@sloanlance @autonomysolidarity Yes, it's really obvious. And yet there are a lot of people who don't get it (or are doing the best to ignore it).
Just look at reactions to @gretathunberg calling out things like capitalism, wars and her showing support for Palestine (people not understanding how these things relate to her original message about the #climate, or even calling her antisemitic).
There is a lot of #greenwashing going on too and the #Greens in Germany and Austria are...
