Torture and Physical Abuse of Children in Gaza Declared War Crimes
,,,
The ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which began in October 2023, has claimed the lives of more than 73,600 Palestinians and about 1,195 Israelis. But there are widespread charges accusing Israel of war crimes, genocide, torture, and the abuse of Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails.
But these crimes continue despite warnings and condemnations by international bodies—including the United Nations, the International Criminal Court (ICC), and the Human Rights Council—with none of them having the power of enforcement.
A question at the UN press briefing on March 24 highlighted a horrible crime unprecedented in any recent conflict.
Question: Multiple news outlets reported that Israeli soldiers tortured a one-year-old Palestinian child named Karim Abu Nasr in Gaza to pressure his father. The child reportedly suffered cigarette burns, marks, and nail wounds. Did you see this report?
UN Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric: I have seen the horrific description of that report, which clearly needs to be investigated, and reading the report itself is just horrific.

Israel Is Dropping 2,000-Pound Bombs on Densely-Populated Tehran, Reports Say
Israeli forces said last week that they have dropped 3,600 munitions on the Iranian capital alone. Why the US and Israel are unlikely to win the war in Iran.
I’m reading a book, “1940”, by Richard Collier about the start of WWII focused primarily on Germany’s invasion and occupation of France and the attacks on Britain that was to lead to a German invasion.
There are parallels to the US/Israel attack on Iran. Germany underestimated the British resolve to fight Germany and the threat posed to the British way of life - Germany’s existential threat to Britain’s existence - on top of the German military's cavalier approach to the war they started.
Iran is facing a similar existential threat. Iran is fighting a perceived dangerous enemy that could lead to the extinction or severe harm of Iran and its current form of government.
Iran is literally fighting for its existence and this gives Iran significant purpose. Whereas the US faces no existential threat from Iran and therefore there is little or no desire to fight and die in this US/Israel imposed war.
Also, why are the media almost never mentioning that if he does go through with plans for a full-scale attack on civilian infrastructure, then that would be a war crime?
RED FUCKING ALERT
The United States is dropping land mines around villages in Iran. Images posted to social media Thursday show what experts said are U.S. land mines dispersed across a residential area in southern Iran, in what appears to be the first instance in more than two decades of American forces using the weapons.
The photos show American BLU-91/B anti-tank land mines, which are released from an aircraft as part of the Gator mine scattering system, according to four munitions experts who reviewed the imagery at The Washington Post’s request. The United States is the only party in the Iran war known to possess the system.
LAND MINES ARE A WAR CRIME! What in the actual fuck are we doing here? This is a violation of law, of sense, and of humanity. Den Hague for everyone involved.
