Switching from #Windows 10 to #macOS the bizarre way…

So other people in our household decided not to go #Windows11 but to go #Apple #MacBook instead. Me and myself, I was running #Windows10 in #VirtualBox on #Linux. But even though #Microsoft had promised not to provide updates any more, they still did and one of these updates rendered it impossible to run #DanteController in Windows 10 in VirtualBox. It just crashes. Works still on Windows 10 on hardware. But I don't want to travel with more than one (Linux) laptop usually.

So I installed an old version of macOS in VirtualBox that runs Dante Controller.

This is stupid. But it works. (Also it's forbidden by Apple's EULA.)

Btw this also allows to run #QLab on Linux, but I didn't dare yet to try this live.
